Dr. Darrick E. Sahara is a multi-disciplinary chiropractor who is licensed in California and Kansas. Dr. Sahara is Board Certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK) and has completed his clinical laboratory proficiency exam. And he is currently working on completing the Diplomate program at the International College of Applied Kinesiology - USA (ICAK - USA).
Dr. Sahara also has attained post graduate certifications in Total Body Modification (TBM) and Natural Healing (NH). His natural, holistic practice includes: Total Kinesiology (TK), AK, TBM, Neural Emotional Technique (NET), and chiropractic. Clinical nutrition, supplementation, Homeopathy, and herbs have a big emphasis in treating a difficult patient, or athlete.
Dr. Sahara also has worked with many professional athletes. His experience includes being an associate with Dr. Evan Mladenoff, who is the head alternative team physician for the Kansas City Chiefs. Dr. Sahara has worked with many professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, and NHL. He also has worked with the top ice skaters in the Midwest / Kansas City area. In addition, Dr. Sahara is now proud to state that he is one of the 'doctors to the stars.' His patients include rock music mogul / producer Dan Lanois and Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional (see Dynamics link on home page). He is currently a member of The Global Directory of Who's Who.
Dr. Sahara received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California (USC), majoring in Exercise Science (Kinesiology). Furthermore, he then graduated from the Southern California University of Health Science, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC). Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Sahara attended USC School of Dentistry for three years. This more than qualifies him to handle TMJ problems (jaw joint pain), headaches, migraines, neck & facial pain and other bodily injuries. Because of his expertise, Dr. Sahara has been a teacher assistant at AK seminars in Chicago.
Dr. Sahara not only practices on others but, 'practices what he preaches.' This is due to his own life-changing story of a miraculous recovery from cancer ! As a survivor, he has integrated Chiropractic Kinesiology into his primary out-patient treatment and has put cancer behind him altogether (similar to Lance Armstrong !). Because of his experience, Dr. Sahara has found his passion and works diligently to bring patients' bodies into balance - structurally, chemically and emotionally by using natural techniques.
In the past, he commuted between Los Angeles , CA , and Kansas City , MO , where he has been successful in caring for the patients of the Mladenoff Clinic and is involved in the treatment of professional football players in the NFL.
Currently, Dr, Sahara practices in Pasadena - at the Sahara Clinic.
